its beginnings with the
Carter Family and the Monroe Brothers, through Bill Monroe and His Blue
Grass Boys, Flatt & Scruggs, and the Stanley Brothers, and to
modern bands like Del McCoury and the Nashville Bluegrass Band, the
spirit of bluegrass music has reached into the American heartland and
inspired the Lincoln Highway band. Taking its name from the
first transcontinental highway (which goes through their hometown),
Lincoln Highway links to both the past and the future of bluegrass
